Penalties of a Kidnapping Charge in Texas

A kidnapping charge can be raised to aggravated kidnapping if the defendant committed the crime with the intent to hold the victim ransom, use the victim has a hostage, inflict bodily harm, terrorized the victim, or used or exhibits a deadly weapon.
